Page, AZ

Twitter
Top to Bottom, Clockwise: Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, Rainbow Bridge
Page is a small, quiet town in northern Arizona which sits atop Manson Mesa and overlooks the dramatic Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam, and the surrounding canyons, arches and historical Native ruins.

Lake Powell from Wahweap Marina, Page, AZ
Page is an ideal location for exploring The Grand Circle, a circle of renowned National Parks and Monuments, and the Navajo Nation, US largest native American tribe. For Grand Circle vacation, you can find my Grand Circle post, at my group's blog, The Salitype Society.

In this post, I will be sharing places to explore at Page. Hopefully, this will be helpful to those who are planning a Page vacation. Here is a glimpse to some of the places you can explore when you visit Page, AZ.
Dusk @ Wahweap Marina, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Page, AZ

I. Antelope Canyon. On our first time at Page, we never let the opportunity of exploring the world's most photographed slot canyon passed.
Lower Antelope Canyon
The awe- inspiring and mind boggling Lower Antelope Canyon and Upper Antelope Canyon are both in Page, AZ. It sure felt an out of this world experience exploring this beautiful slot canyon. If you need more details how to visit Antelope Canyon, you can check my previous post on Lower Antelope Canyon.

II. Horseshoe Bend. Horseshoe Bend is about 4 miles southwest of the main town of Page. You will find the trailhead close enough to the main road (US 89) that connects Page and Flagstaff. For more information, you can go to my previous post on Horseshoe Bend.
Horseshoe Bend
III. Lake Powell. There are two marinas at Lake Powell in Page, Wahweap Marina and Antelope Point Marina, both maintained by Glenn Canyon National Recreation Area.
Lake Powell from Antelope Point Marina
Entry to this 2 marina requires National Park fee. If you have 7-day National Park Pass (coming out from Grand Canyon National Park or Zion National Park) or an annual National Park Pass, you need not pay the entrance fee to both marinas. Though both these marinas are more for water recreation, but there are various trails that can be accessed in both location.

Hiking @ Lake Powell
IV. The Colorado River
@ Glen Canyon Dam Trail
There is a trail near the Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center that winds down to the Colorado River. I apologize I could not exactly remember where the trail head here is, but if you make a stop at Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center, the park rangers are very helpful in suggesting places to explore and hike for you, making your visit to Page really fun and enjoyable.

V. Rainbow Bridge National Monument.
Though Rainbow Bridge is no longer in Page, but the start of exploration begins at Page by taking a boat that would give you a Lake Powell tour and bring you to the dock for a short hike to Rainbow Bridge. For more details about visiting Rainbow Bridge, you can visit my previous post here

VI. Toadstool Trail
Though Toadstool Trail, or the Paria Rimrocks Hoodos is in Utah, but the closest town is in Page. The trailhead is about 30 minutes west of the Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center. The trail is between mile marker 19 and 20 in Utah near the Arizona Border. This is really a fun hike, we had so much fun with the mushroom like hoodoos here. For more pictures and information about this hike, you can visit my previous Toadstool Trail post.
If you want to experience white water rafting in the Colorado River, or exploring more of lake Powell, please visit Page Lake Powell's site here.
Other not so nearby places but close enough to Page if you are exploring this part of the southwest:
1. Grand Canyon National Park South Rim -  140 miles from Page
2. Grand Canyon National Park North Rim - 123 miles from Page
3. Zion National Park - 110 miles from Page
5. Monument Valley - 126 miles from Page

....and a lot more. For more information about the Grand Circle, you can check my "Your Grand Circle Itinerary" post at the Salitype Society.
