In My Dreams

Twitter

The picture above was taken from Joshua Tree National Park, San Bernardino County, California. The tall grotesque plants in the background are that of Joshua trees, named after how their limbs are outstretched like in a prayer. While the poem above, was written when I think of our dear God in my prayertime. Thus, I used the Joshua Tree picture as background of the poem as the Joshua tree resembles a tree in prayer.

Joshua Trees
I hope to be writing more about Joshua Tree National Park sometime.....

  3. Interesting, I didn't know how the Joshua Tree had received its name. Heartfelt poem and beautiful photos!

  4. I like your poem, and I like the effect of the pictures. I've heard of these trees before, but I never knew they looked so unique.

  5. You are right, they look like their arms were stretched out in prayers. I have learned to reach out in open arms when I sing songs of praises in the church - a gesture of acceptance and surrender to our Almighty God.

  9. I dream only once or twice a month (that I remember), if I'm lucky.I love dreams, though. I only dream about important things that end up influencing a big decision with my family or something. (My mom interprets dreams so I always talk to her.Is that weird that I remember my dreams so rarely? How is it for you?

  11. I can sense the depth faith of a believer in your poem Betchai and I feel blessed not just by reading it but also for knowing the person behind it.
