Fun Friday: Through The "not so many" Years

Twitter
Blogging for Fun Friday again! What's great is that it is Friday :) Our theme this week is "yesteryears". However, I lost my childhood pictures. :( I no longer have proof to claim that I was cute when I was a baby. :) haha! All my photos then were in my albums and were neatly filed in my closet. However, they were swept away by a big typhoon that hit our province and flooded our house. I was not home that time since I was in Manila for studies. I could not blame anyone if no one took care of all my things in the closet, because at that time I understand everyone's safety was the priority. We actually lost a lot  of our things in that flood.

Thus, what I am sharing here are some pictures from my "yesteryears" back when I was still in the Philippines. The photos were not scanned, I just simply took pictures of my old pictures using my camera.

Boogieboarding and Snorkeling are the other two of my  simple life's pleasures, because of life's simple pleasures at the great outdoors, I HAVE NO TIME FOR SHOPPING!!
I have grown to love photography, for photos of me, thankfully, I have a hubby who does not complain each time I ask him to take me a picture :)

  17. What fun to look at old pictures and that is exactly what I did a few days ago searching for pictures to display on our new digital frame. I am sorry you lost some precious photos. I wished all my old photos were in digital format for safe keeping. A few years ago I started scanning all my parents old photos, but I still have lots more to go.

  26. These are great! I always love looking at old photographs. Like you, my old photos had been ruined and swept because of the typhoons.

    ReplyDelete
  27. wow hope i can do the same and still can recover some of my old photos! like others it had been swept away by the typhoons as we live in a nearby river before love the photos!

  28. no aging at all, the most important is now that we can see and you can feel how happy you are..just sad that you don't have proof of your yesteryears...darn! typhoon causes to destroyed your stuff. if there are only external drive before that wasn't as expensive and scanners we could have copied some of them already for keep.

  29. Lovely pictures! Aging gracefully, so they say (but you are not that old!) so enjoy it and take a lot more pictures to look back to! Great memories...you never lost the joy and fun in life (the photos show).

  30. You simply has a great smile. Parang nagka-crush tuloy ako. Just kidding.

  31. Is that what you call aging??? I beg to disagree! lol! You have remained very prim and proper even when boogieboarding enjoying the outdoors! I wish I had all the time to really see and experience the great outdoors like you. Keep smiling and stay happy!

  32. Ms. Betchai, you are absolutely gorgeous in those yesteryears looks! For sure you were the cutest too should there be baby photos to show off! He he he. Guess what, all my pictures, including the wedding snaps I have were swept away by Typhoon Sendong last December 2011. I could cry just thinking about it but there is no use in crying so I'll just smile away all those memories that I couldn't see in photos anymore. I must say God has blessed you with glorious days all these time because of your being a lover of the outdoors. I have read sometime not so long ago that a person who loves the outdoors ages gracefully, and slowly. I guess you just affirmed it! ;-)

  33. How fun! I would say you still look the same :-) from what I can see. Seeing some photos in the past must have brought back a lot of memories for you. Great idea in photographing the photos, saves scanning time!

  34. I love looking at your old photographs. I think it's my favorite photos to look at, a view from your past. But I love that photo of you with the pinkish(?) rock formation. Second to the last photo. Where is that?
