Another Weekend @ The Mountains, Valleys and the Ocean

Twitter
Life is beautiful. We love making the most of it in the beautiful outdoors.  I am sharing in this post some iPhone images from our last weekend hikes here in San Diego.

Saturday, we went hiking at El Capitan Open Space Reserve. The hike is 11 miles round trip with 4000 ft climb. This hike is #6 in my San Diego's top 10 hikes list.

Yucca and El Cajon Mountain peaks, between mile 1 and mile 2 from trailhead
( the 4th peak, or the highest peak, was our destination. we had to go up and down several mountains to reach El Cajon Summit )

It was a long hike, but it definitely was worth it. There is so much fun in climbing.

Sunday, we went for an easy hike along the ocean from Torrey Pines to Del Mar. We walked about 5 miles but mostly on flat ground, with very little climbing. It was more of a relaxing stroll, just to keep our legs going after a strenuous hike Saturday.

It was a beautiful weekend spent with some members of the family out of the doors. Life is good, all the time!
