Arc'teryx in the Summer?

Twitter
With Arc'teryx  Full Weather Protection Jacket in the Summer for Alpine Mountaineering

Would you entertain the idea of wearing the Outside Magazine's Gear of the Year Award, Arc'teryx, in the summer? Or would you prefer to wear skimpy two piece suits and lie on the beach for summer vacation? When most people probably picture their summer to be wandering in city streets or lazying on the beach wearing their skimpy swim suits, my picture of summer vacation somehow is different. Living in one of the major cities in US with miles of beaches, I do not plan our vacation in another city or in another beach, rather, vacation for us always means exploring the great outdoors.

Our summer vacation usually meant wearing a superior lightweight, breathable, fully waterproof and full weather protection jacket for comfort and climbing performance. So, where we were this time of the year for our summer get-away? Anyone wants to take a guess? Here are some clues:
Clue 1:
It's Far Enough from San Diego We Had to Fly
Clue 2:
Its Mountains Are Full of Glaciers

Clue 3:
We Had to Hike in the Cold,
Thanks to Arc'teryx High Performance Mountaineering Gears

Clue 4:
But we weren't hiking in the cold all the time!

Clue 5:
ahhh, we were awed completely by the lush rain forest

Clue 6:
Waterfalls Everywhere from Melting Snow ( After all, it's already JULY )

Clue 7:
We enjoyed the Blue Ocean Close By ( with chilly winds )

Clue 8:
We enjoyed the white water and rapids at 40 Fahrenheit in the summer ( 4 degree Celsius )

Clue 9:
Saw a lot of American Bald Eagles Perched on top of the Tree and Flying Above Us
Clue 10:
Spring Wildflowers in July

I am sure some of you can now easily identify where we spent our summer vacation. I gave too many clues perhaps excited to share our hits and misses in this trip. Well, in our entire trip, we had been aiming to take some fun REI pictures (everyone's favorite Outdoor Store), and here is one of our fun REI moments :)
Everyone in this Photo is a Happy REI Member :)
( would like to add however this is not an REI trip, rather this is Betchai's masterplanned trip with family )

I will be sharing a lot more about the different places we've explored in our trip to this beautiful State. Anyone would like to tell what State this is?

Have a Happy Friday Everyone.

  7. Just experienced a scorching summer heat in my recent trip. Not ready for another round of scorching weather. Thankfully, back home, our tropical weather isn't as bad as summer in other parts of the world.

    1. hi Amanda, I wish! :) Haha, nope, REI did not sponsor our gears, got a little income from this post though (but not from REI) and not enough for our gears, that would be too much compensation then :)
