Precious MOMents

Twitter
Mom and Baby Elephant
Time flies, was it only last year when I first published this post in this blog at Mother's Day? Now, I am re-publishing these precious MOMents again. The first two pictures here (elephant and gorilla ) were from San Diego Zoo Safari Park, while the rest of the pictures were taken from around San Diego, mostly in La Jolla.
Mom and Newly Born ( barely a day old ) Baby Gorilla
I would like to share this post again as my way of greeting everyone WonderFull MOMents this Mother's Day weekend. I actually borrowed the word WonderFull from dear friend Cher of Sweet Memoirs.
Cattle Egret With Her 3 Eggs
Mom and Pup Harbor Seals giving each other "high five" for approval :)

Anyway, since this weekend is a Mother's Day Weekend, I would like to share this poem again, which was inspired while I was observing a mum and pup seal. Observing the two makes me wish I still have my mom in my side. I am forever grateful to my mom, who made me feel I am most loved. With my mom, I could pour out my thoughts, all happy and embarrassing, without fear of being judged. Despite she's no longer around, whenever I feel weak, I think of her and our "MOMents" together to gather strength, to feel with wisdom and to think with a heart

Sealed With a Kiss
How joyful it is
To feel your loving presence
How blessed I am
Receiving your healing touch
Your caring presence
Assures me of your great love
You give me strength
To grow, and be on my own
Mom, I promise you this
Though time and fate may separate us
But your greatest love
In my heart and mind is forever sealed with a kiss!

~ Betchai ~

May everyone have a Funtastic and WonderFull Happy Mother's Day weekend.

  23. Amazing set here Miss Beth... My favorite would be the first photo. I like how you captured the interaction of the baby and mommy elephant.

And your zoom lens must be powerful there for the egret shot. I have never seen an egret's egg before! There is a local myth in my hometown that tulabong eggs cannot be seen, and that the eggs can only be seen when they reflect on water... Hehehe... Interesting but so not true... :)
