Foggy Day at Yosemite National Park

I apologize if there are no words that go along these pictures, I am currently suffering from blogging block, so am letting these photos speak for now.

All pictures were taken at Yosemite National Park, during our spring vacation last month ( April 2014). I still have several hikes and experiences to share in Yosemite during our spring vacation, hopefully, I find enough inspiration to write about them soon.

Family Ski Packages

Are you interested in giving your children one of the best trips that they are ever going to go on in their lives? When you look into Colorado family ski packages, not only do you get a great trip to a stunning destination, but you help to open your children up to an awesome world of outdoor sports and entertainment. One trip could be all that it takes to lay the groundwork so that they love to go outside and hit the slopes for the rest of their lives. Whether you look into trips at SkiDaddy.com or some other site that is similar, you should start prepping for the trip now so that it goes off without a hitch.

Check Out the Most Popular Destinations
The first thing to do is to look into the destinations that thousands of other people pick each year so that you can figure out which one is best for you. For one thing, you just want to see which towns call to you the most; many places, like Breckenridge and Silverthorne, offer beautiful mountain views, but they still give you some of the convenience of being in a town, with restaurants and stores. You also want to look at the runs themselves to find out how many there are and how hard they are at each location, choosing the place that is right for your talent level and for your family.

Upgrade and Update Your Gear
The next thing to do is to update any of your gear that might be outdated right now. For you, there may not be that many changes to make, but what about your kids? They grow so fast that boots, skis, snowboards and helmets that worked last year may not work this year. Also, if they have beginner gear but they are going to take on some more advanced runs this year, you may need to get them gear that matches their new talent level.

Pack All of the Extras
Finally, just go through and get all of the extras that pull the trip together. Of course, the majority of it is going to be spent on the slopes, but do not forget that a good ski package comes with much else. You want a bathing suit for the pool and the hot tub, for example, and you want to have a good book to read while sitting by the fire.

Buying Properties In South America

United States citizens that have spare money often choose to purchase real estate in Central America and South America. Many U.S. residents buy vacation homes in beautiful oceanfront communities that offer privacy, tranquility and recreation. Ecuador is considered to be a hidden real estate gem of South America.

First of all, this country has hundreds of miles of smooth coast along the Pacific Ocean. There aren't any barrier islands that are vulnerable to flooding and other damage from hurricanes. In fact, most of the coastline of Ecuador is elevated above sea level. Therefore, many of the waterfront homes actually overlook the beautiful beaches of the Pacific Ocean.

Buying Real Estate in Ecuador is an example of investing money in South American vacation homes. Buyers can expect to have plenty of luxurious amenities in oceanfront homes of Ecuador. For example, there may be inground and indoor swimming pools available with large decks overlooking the beach. Architectural styles vary from Spanish missionary to rustic and contemporary. Security is another major feature of oceanfront homes in Ecuador. For example, homes may be part of gated communities that are patrolled by security guards.

U.S. investors that are interested in buying properties in Ecuador can schedule showings through official websites operated by real estate brokers licensed to do business in South America. Clients can expect to communicate with English speaking agents that are very knowledgeable about Ecuador. In a matter of hours, U.S. investors can end up in Ecuador and start looking at real estate.

Monday's Hiking, Video and Photo Birding at Lake Hodges

Lake Hodges

Though I usually add music to my videos, but in the video above, I chose to not add music since I prefer to listen to the natural music of the wild. The sound of pure joy in nature. I could sit there forever watching the wild and be thankful about this wonderful life, I wish! :) But then of course, life goes on a cycle. Work....home chores....taking care and nourishing physical, mental and spiritual health. That is where the hiking and nature wandering comes in after work, as I get my rejuvenating energy from nature's inspiration.

Lake Hodges is one of the local afternoon hikes we frequent after work because of its amazing wildlife within city limits. Sadly though, we have not been back to this place since Monday because of the smoke from the wildfire Northwest ( Carlsbad, San Marcos, Oceanside ). Praying for the safety of the firefighters and everyone, and praying that the wildfire will be contained soon, and not spread out South. As you could see in this video, there are baby hawks, which are still not capable of flying, matured wildlife may be able to fly away from danger like humans, but the chicks may not. Hoping and praying they stay safe as well.

Anyway, here are more pictures from Monday's rejuvenating in the wild at Lake Hodges.

A Peek Into My Joys of Simple Life

**Originally posted September 2009**

"Do you enjoy life at all, like going to clubs or bars?"....... "Don't you enjoy shopping? No woman doesn't, right?" ---- these are some of the questions I used to get before when some probably wonder why they don't see pictures of me, or from me, clubbing or shopping.

Do I enjoy life at all? I DO, so happy, contented and at peace with the joys of simple life. Let me share with you my simple joys

......

In my regular days, when most people are probably still in deep slumber at 5:00 am, I am already awake and preparing for school. Though still sleepy, I have to be awake. By 5:45 am, I am sitting on the bus on my way to school. During the ride, I extend my sleep for even just 30 minutes :( Sometimes, I would take a peek at the bus window to gaze at the beautiful sunrise. If I am inspired enough, I would take out my cell phone and take a snap shot of the early morning rising sun.

But most of the time, I am just too sleepy that I simply close my eyes and continue to be in dreamland. However, when I get off the bus, I am as energized as I can be, for after-all, I should! I should not look more sleepy than my students. At school, I am transformed, no more sleepiness. I just have that inherent joy to share what I love to do the most, that is to teach.

Now, after school or after work, here in America, work continues at home. We have to clean the house, water the plants, do laundry, cook meals. Another simple thing in life that I have learned to take joy in it is to be self-sufficient and not relying on helpers to do household chores that we ourselves can do. Of course, at first, I thought it was hard, but as time passed by, I find so much happiness in doing household chores. Self-sufficiency has opened my world not only to how much we can save in the process but also to the ultimate joy of being free at home, free from prying helper's eyes. I am free to enjoy every corner of our house in whatever physical appearance.

At home, I cook our own meals since I believe it is healthier. Thankfully, cooking is not work at all for me, it is one of the simple things in life I love doing best and take joy in it. I love to whip up everything from scratch.

We prefer to just simply eat at home and take control of what we eat.

When the day is longer, that is late spring to early fall, between school and home, there is enough time for us to explore our beautiful world outside. During weekends, instead of dining out and spending money in the mall shopping, we just take our simple delights to the trails or to the ocean, or both.

Either we hike, snorkel, boogie board, or do them all in one day.

We have fun, we get exercise, all for free!

Now, if not working, or not outdoors to energize our body and spirit, at home, when there is free time, I blog. I blog because I find joy in sharing the joys of simple life. I blog because I see blogging as an opportunity to  learn from others and also earn on the side to give the gift of education to some deprived kids and some who may be in the most need.

Working meaningfully as a teacher, enjoying life at the great outdoors, being self-sufficient, saving money for the future, earning a little bit more from blogging to sponsor some kids to school and sharing some of our blessings to meaningful causes, are what I call, "The Joys of Simple Life". Come, enjoy life as simple as it can be.

Wedding Photos Done Right

Its important to have a competent professional taking pictures on your wedding day. The last thing that you want or need is to have pictures that are out of focus or where the object of the photo is blurry. Therefore, you need to know how to find the best photographer who can take the most important photographs of your life.

Look for Someone With Experience

The person who you pick to take your wedding photos should have experience in the field of photography. Whether you decide to go with your best friend or someone who charges $200 an hour to take pictures, you need someone who has taken great pictures in the past. To make sure that your photographer has relevant experience, you should ask to see a portfolio of previous work.

Find Someone Who Is Reliable

You need to find someone who is reliable and who you can count on to be there on your big day. There have been countless stories in the past of photographers who didn't show up for the wedding, showed up late or didn't provide the photos after the wedding. When you are paying hundreds of dollars for a photographer, you don't want to pay for someone who is not going to deliver what you thought you were going to get for your money.

Have Complete Control Over Selecting Your Photos

You should be able to have complete control over the look of your photos before they are printed and sent to you. At the very least, you should be given a digital copy of your pictures that you can edit on your own until they look exactly how you think that they should look. This makes it easier to send photos to family and friends or post photos that you can be proud of to your Facebook or other social media profiles.

Visiting sites such as snapknot.com and using companies such as SnapKnot can make it easier to find a great photographer for your big day. When you get your photos back after your wedding, you should have nothing other than a big smile on your face.

Flower Happiness :)

I have been quiet here for a while, with so many things going on. But thanks to "flower happiness", I find myself awake. :) However, pardon me if I don't have much to say, but have so much flower happiness to share. :)
I apologize if I have to include myself in the middle of all these flower happiness. :)
