Mom's Fall Planting Project

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts Miracle-Gro. All opinions are 100% mine.  ~ by Zen aka kulasa

Roses remain the most beautiful of flowers for me. They have these delicate scented petals whose fragrance lingers like rays of sunshine in my memory. I've been thinking of one particular kind of Rose these days. One who smiles sweetly and always reminds me to do so myself. One who never gets tired pushing me to be the best that I can be. She taught me practically everything I know at home from cooking to gardening and mothering....the sweetest face in all the world for me- my mama Rose.

We both love plants and had a blast visiting botanical gardens when she was here.

Now that she is with my uncles in California she finds comfort as always tending to the garden. It keeps her mind off from missing all of us.

She enjoys eating fruits from my uncle's yard, the plums, peaches and grapes are her favorites.

Now that it is fall and is the best time of the year to do some Fall gardening, she is planning to add to the fruit bearing trees at their garden. Probably more plums with roses on the alleys. There's this rose garden idea I found on pinterest as I try to Find beauty in the Fall that am sure would be the perfect project for my mom to keep her mind gay and inspired. It is something akin to one of my favorite photos of hers. A pathway planted with roses on the side  with an arch that could be crawled by the rose stems.

My mama Rose am sure will be all smiles when I share this idea with her when we chat later. It will give uncle's garden the touch of Rose which my mom does best. I learned from my research that digging up the soil and making sure there is no hard soil left makes roses thrive better because any direction the roots go, they will be able to absorb the natural nutrients and minerals they need from the ground as well as the  continuous release plant food like Miracle-Gro products that are water soluble and contains bone meal for better blooming and strong root development as well as iron to prevent the leaves from yellowing.

Miracle-Gro for trees feeding is easy as one only has to attach the applicator to the hose and sprinkle around the base. The Miracle-Gro Facebook page will help us learn more about ways to beautify the garden and will allow us to meet garden lovers as well. Mom will find it all the more exciting am sure. I'll do that for her later. You might want to join us there too for more of great gardening tips from lawn and garden experts.

In my mind I am gardening with mom. Thanks to technology for bringing our hearts together for the love of mother nature. Warmest kisses and hugs to all the mothers in the world.

  1. that's amazing to read about you both love nature...taking care of our mother nature is one thing i love to do too...

  2. Gorgeous photos, Zen, and your mom looks happy doing her gardening!

  3. What a wonderful way to tribute your Mom. I love roses too! Probably my most favorite. Here in FL, they grow quite easily, even in sand, and with little water. When I lived up North they didn't much like the cold. Botanical Gardens are some of the nicest places to visit, I think.

  4. Lovely article! This made me want to plant some rose to our garden (:
