Parting, Parking and Reuniting

That's my mom smiling widely  with her luggage upon arrival at the Los Angeles International Airport not so long ago.

Now this is their family photo taken more than fifty years ago.

I grew up loving the tale of my grandparents' love story. My grandma was a cook in the city while grandpa was a carpenter. Grandpa used to say "yes, it was love at first sight hmmmm nope more of love at first taste!" Grandma was one of the best cooks I can recall and grandpa simply could not forget her "dinengdeng," a specialty she has passed on to me. I'm no good cook but when it comes to vegetables with salted fish sauce you can trust me to make you forget your name for a second or two delirious with appetite.

Grandpa and grandma had six children. My mom's the youngest, a menopausal baby. Two of her brothers migrated to the US years ago and now they are with mom  whom they lovingly welcomed at the airport then with the warmest hugs and sweetest kisses. Mom said she could imagine grandma and pa somewhere up in the clouds happily watching them reunite.

There is nothing more soothing in the world than listening to the voice of one's mom  no matter how old one becomes. Mom and I communicate everyday and recently she's been telling me about her plans to visit so many places and I shared to her what I recently learned about reserve jfk parking.

Cheap Airport Parking negotiate discount rates with airport parking lots and sell spots on their website at discounted rates. They find, create and promote great deals for airport parking at major US airports. They have several parking lots available at most airports. Transportation is freely provided to and from the airport anytime of the day on modern shuttle buses. One can even reserve airport parking while airborne further reducing parking bill. A map of parking lots found on their site is also of great help. Mom is having such a great time with my uncles and busy planning their future trips and is so glad to learn about ways they could save on parking because if there is any lesson grandma taught her that she treasures most, it is the art of spending money wisely.

I am looking forward to that day when I too and the rest of my family could join mom and spend all the time in the world watching the sky change colors from sunrise to sunset in different locations. For that I am willing to travel a hundred miles. I am confident you will agree with me when I say that the sweetest word in this life is F-A-M-I-L-Y.  May your own families be blessed with love, peace and hope.

  2. I agree. Your mom looks very happy on that photos. By the way, I agree with you when you discussed about cheap airport parking lots. When choosing the best, you need to consider the services that these parking spaces give.
