A Turkey Holiday

Wild Turkeys Frolicking in the Snow
A Turkey Holiday? I am of course not referring to Thanksgiving holiday nor a feast of turkeys. I am referring to Turkey, a Eurasian country located in Western Asia and in East Thrace in Southeastern Europe. I did not have much idea before what to expect when having holidays in Turkey, until fellow blogger Mei left a comment in my old post, Hoodoos Keep on Haunting Me, about the similarity of the enchanting landscape in Bryce Canyon National Park to Capadocia, Turkey.
Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
Then, my dear friend Car shared her pictures of Capadocia and other places in Turkey, where her trip pictures made me giddy like a child! The hoodoos were haunting me, and I felt like I was transported from Bryce to Capadocia. Since then, I added Turkey as one of my future destinations, someday! We all can dream, and my dreams always transport me to magical places, such as Turkey. One of my simple joys when at home and have nothing to do is browse places, appreciate and enjoy these priceless and relaxing gifts from nature even if visiting them virtually only. In one of my virtual travels and dreams, I enjoyed an all Inclusive holidays to Dalaman, Turkey. Dalaman is an area of outstanding natural beauty and protected by Turkish government to maintain its environment and natural splendor.

Dalaman is a short distance from Fethiye in the South and the Mediterranean Sea or "turquoise coast". Dalaman is full of sandy, safe beaches, and is an ideal location for holidays in the sun. This region has been a popular destination for British citizens because of flight accessibility, friendly climate, natural beauty, less expensive lifestyle and hospitality of people. What makes me also excited aside from the enchanting landscape and turquoise warm waters in Dalaman are the archaeological and historical sites in Dalaman such as ancient Lycian tombs littering the area where I would feel like I am exploring with one of my favorite movie characters of all time, Indiana Jones!
It's really great to be dreaming and exploring with Indiana Jones, I mean, with my Indy!! I love my Indy, wish he brings me to Turkey someday. :)
